Reflective Bookmaking • Session 2 of 2
This two-part class provides ample time for participants to mindfully engage, and create a unique, portable volume to store mementos and curate memories. With guidance from LuAnne Holladay, you'll explore a variety of mediums and simple book construction techniques.

About the event
In this two-part series, you're invited to engage with intention and create your own memory book. Led by experienced bookmaker and curator of stories LuAnne Holladay, this workshop is reflective and process-focused, leveraging playful mark-making, a variety of media, and basic binding techniques.
In Session 1, LuAnne will guide participants in using different tools and media to alter a large sheet of paper on both sides. You'll experience different materials for inclusion in the final form of the memory book and will explore creative approaches to collecting and preserving paper keepsakes. The class will conclude with recommendations for mementos to bring to Session 2 on Saturday.
For Session 2, the class will return to transform their altered papers into beautiful, small-but-mighty books to contain their own mementos. The process will include simple but elegant folding techniques and an introduction to pamphlet stitching. The result is meant to be a living,…
