About the event
Looking for a creative way to enrich your teen's spring break? This class is designed specifically for students ages 13-18 who can maintain focus for 30 minutes or more at a time and can be trusted with high-quality materials requiring extra care.
This series presents the perfect opportunity for your emerging artist to explore oil painting in a relaxed, supportive setting—without the usual rush of schoolwork and extracurriculars. Session 1 will be an overview of the essentials of oil painting, from brush care and surface prep to cleanup (because oil painting get messy––but they'll learn how to manage it safely!). Through hands-on practice and with personalized guidance, students will have plenty of time to explore and ask questions as they unpack the basics of color theory and create a swatched value scale.
