Oil Painting FUNdamentals for Adults: Session 1

It might be spring break for the student population, but who says they get to have all the fun? Join us for this restorative, creative break and explore the fundamentals of oil painting with Rebecca Woodward! Whether a specific session topic calls to you or you want to delve in all week long, this evening series offers a relaxed, step-by-step introduction to oil painting tools and techniques. There will be plenty of hands-on time to play with color and get comfortable with the process. Additionally, for each session, guests will enjoy locally-sourced refreshments and private after-hours shopping and discounts. Session 1 will unpack the most fundamental elements of oil painting, including brush care, surface prep, and how to clean up safely. We'll explore color mixing and create a swatched value scale to help you build confidence before taking on more involved projects as the week continues!
